Iimpact Hoop Lab has made a striking stand once again by launching season two of its Basketball league, for the under 13 boys’ category. This dynamic event was held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel Colombo, the official sponsor of this league franchise.
The evening commenced with a few words spoken by the League Director, Mr Anushka Jayalath, sharing his aspirations for the league’s growth this season, setting an inspiring tone for the program.
The second segment was dedicated for the talented and passionate athletes who were introduced individually in accordance with their teams, and presented with their jerseys for the upcoming season. The boys proceeded to bring the energy and excitement witnessed on the court, on to the stage, which was lit up by a spectacular backdrop that spoke for itself.
The league features four competitive teams: Impact Lion Hearts, sponsored by K J Group; Slam City, supported by Mr. Prabhu Deepan; Dribble Elites, backed by Oplee; and Impact Eagles, with sponsorship from Macklys.
With the evening coming to an end, Mr. Praneeth Udumalagala, founder of Iimpact Hoop Lab, expressed his gratitude to the team owners, coaches and all other parties involved in supporting his vision of raising the standards of Lankan basketball, starting from the youth of this country.
The event ended with delightful refreshments and lively conversation, on who will claim the title of champions, for season two, of the basketball league which will commence on the 6th of September and come to an end on the 18th of October.
